Basic Safety Training - Refresher Course (English) (OBS1063)
Target GroupOffshore personnel who have to repeat the Basic Safety and Emergency preparedness training.
ObjectiveUpdate the course participants knowledge and ability to protect his/her safety in an emergency situation and promote safe behaviour.
After completing the course, the participants should have maintained and updated knowledge and skills relating to:
- Correct safety behaviour.
- Use of escape chute.
- Use of a hand-held fire extinguisher.
- Correct use of survival suit with emergency breathing system.
- Lifesaving first aid.
- Helicopter evacuation (HUET).
Course Contents
- Introduction
- First aid.
- Fire protection.
- Helicopter evacuation.
- Sea survival.
The course mainly consists of practical training and drills.
HSE culture/behaviour training will be integrated in the entire course.
PrerequisitesBasic safety and emergency preparedness course or corresponding equivalent competence.
Personnel that have not maintained their competence pursuant to Norwegian Oil and Gas requirements or other equivalent training during the last four years, must complete a new basic course.
