Target GroupCrew assigned to repeat basic training every five years.
ObjectiveUpdating the students understanding and skills to protect him/herself and others in a crisis situation and contribute to safe behavior.
After completing the course, students should have maintained and updated knowledge and skills in:
- Firefighting.
- Resque at sea.
- Medical first aid.
Course ContentsAccording to the STCW code:
- A-VI/1-1.
- A-VI/1-2.
- A-VI/1-3.
- A-VI/1-4.
Approval STCW-78 With addition Manila 2010.
PrerequisitesValid certificate of Basic Safety Training or previously completed Basic Safety Training for seafarers. If certificate are older than 5 years you need 12 month of active sea duty in the last five years, while certificate was valid.
ExaminationWritten test with at least 75% correct answers.
